The staffer calculates coverage requirements by quarter hour based on
forecasted workload. A variety of factors are considered when
generating staffing requirements including:

and maximum staffing limits by function

Productivity
rates

Customer
service objective

Traffic
patterns

Pre-open
and post-closing recovery

Task
activities not driven by customer arrival rates
User defined productivity rules can be established to
reflect non-linear productivity relationships that provide for increasing
productivity as customer traffic increases.
In addition, the staffer includes a proprietary queuing model that can be used to set
staffing levels to achieve a wait time and/or line length objective for check
out operations.
